I guess the clue is in the name – Implementing Technology Change

I guess the clue is in the name – Implementing Technology Change – but today isn’t all Change - Technology Change?

The FCA’s report limits it’s benefits by limiting its scope to Technology Change.

In the Digital Age there are very few Change deliveries that are not supported, driven or facilitated in some way shape of form by technology and if they aren’t – should we even be doing them?

Segregating Change (i.e. Business Change v Technology Change, Run the Bank v Change the Bank) creates false and unnecessary divisions – which can lead to failures.

I asked Olina Glindevi – Agile Coach at the WoW Agile – for how Agile ways of working can enable cross-team working:

“The best Agile methodologies bring business and technology teams together, whether that is by sharing a common goal, collaborating during Planning or jointly attending Agile ceremonies such as the Demo. Don’t forget the 4th principle of the Agile Manifesto:

The Business people and developers must work together daily throughout the project”

We all know by now that Change is constant. Business Leaders need to be Change Leaders too – not outsourcing their Change to parties external to their teams.

It would be great to discuss the Implementing Technology Change | FCA with any Change colleagues – please get in touch to see how Investment Solutions Consultants (ISC) Ltd can help you with your Change practices.
