ISC: SFDR Deadline Approaching

SFDR (Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation) will apply to products marketed and sold in the EU, and the first imminent deadline of 10/3/2021 is fast approaching.

Whilst it is true that regulators may be re-thinking the stringency of the immediate regulations, have you classified your products under the various articles, have you drafted the necessary web and pre-contractual disclosures, and can you evidence what you say you do in those disclosures?

Would your processes stand up to an investigation into the claims you make in your SFDR disclosures?

Beyond the March 2021 deadline, do you understand the various deliverables? What they are, when they have to be implemented, how they are to be delivered and the implications of each? Whilst products marketed in the UK need not adhere to the SFDR regulations, is there a commercial advantage to meeting the standards that SFDR introduces for UK products, and can you afford not to participate?
